Wednesday, it was reported stating that the Washington Commanders owners Daniel Snyder and his wife may be looking into selling the team. Now come reports that Amazon founder Jeff Bezos would be interesting.
Rumors have been floating for weeks that the NFL is pushing for the Snyders to sell the team because of rampant negative issues such as sexual harassment at the workplace and criminal investigations. There were also allegations that the Snyders may be digging up dirt on the other NFL owners, a claim they deny.
Media mogul Byron Allen has already been mentioned as a potential buyer but now it sounds like Amazon founder Jeff Bezos is interested too. Bezos is said to be interested in buying the team along with rapper and producer Jay-Z as his partner.

Jay-Z, as many may know, is part owner of the Brooklyn Nets.
Bezos is worth around $115 Billion and could easily afford the franchise on his own. However, given that Amazon has a contract with the NFL to show Thursday Night Football, it’s unclear if that kind of conflict could disqualify him from franchise ownership.
Bezos has also been in the mix to buy the Phoenix Suns recently.
The NFL has been looking to dump the Snyders for a while and it now appears that they are getting their wish. Ironically (or sadly) it looks like all the misogyny and harassment wasn’t enough to force them out, but the rumors that they’re messing with the league’s financials were what did it.
It looks like the Washington Commanders will be under new management in the near future but it remains to be seen who will be the new owner.
