The Dallas Cowboys are looking to get back to the postseason after missing it last season. Injuries to the top players on the Cowboys’ payroll completely derailed Dallas’ season, including star pass rusher Micah Parsons.

Now, Parsons is looking to cash in on a major extension before another injury strikes him, and the chances of him getting another major contract are thrown in jeopardy, and as a result, he is holding out of the Cowboys’ mandatory minicamp, according to one team insider.

“Micah Parsons was at today’s minicamp practice but he did not participate. He spent about 30 minutes talking with Cowboys owner Jerry Jones,” reported The Athletic’s Jon Machota.

Fans reacted to the news on social media.

“Let’s make another Herschel Walker type trade, although I’d want Jimmy doing the negotiations,” one fan wrote on Twitter.

“Probably told him some Jerryism about leaves falling and slices of cake left for the rest of the team. Pay the man!!!” another fan added.

“What are we waiting on ???? Give Micah what he wants asap,” one fan added.

“Jerry is so annoying get the contract done you geazer,” commanded another fan.

It’ll be interesting to see if the sides can come to terms before the start of the season.
