The Dallas Cowboys notched a huge playoff win on Monday night against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers when they beat Tom Brady for the first time in franchise history despite some kicking struggles in a game where star quarterback Dak Prescott had arguably the best performance of his entire career. But now, the team will face an even greater challenge when they take on the red-hot San Francisco 49ers in a cross-country game on a short week. But team owner Jerry Jones doesn’t sound too worried.

Even though many Cowboys fans were upset with the NFL’s scheduling – having to play on Monday night before traveling quite a long distance to play the Niners on short rest – Jerry Jones does not have any beef with the league, saying “that’s what we were dealt.”

“Not at all. Not at all. That’s what we were dealt,” Jones said according to Pro Football Talk. “We got to play in front of the nation. We got an extra day to get ready for tonight. Good thing. The result, we’ll go play on a short week. We’ve done that Thanksgiving Day, played short weeks. . . . I don’t see that being a disadvantage.”

As Jones points out, the schedule did allow the Cowboys one extra day to prepare for their Wild Card matchup. So it evens out.
