While Odell Beckham Jr. still hasn’t made up his mind about where he intends to sign, Cowboys owner Jerry Jones is still holding out hope that Beckham will sign with Dallas.
Jones said at the owner’s meeting in Dallas on Tuesday to “stand by,” which could mean he expects Beckham to choose the Cowboys or that a decision will be made soon.
“I don’t want to talk about that but stand by,” Jones said. This thing could break.”

Even though Jones wouldn’t go into details, he sounds like a man who knows this may actually go in his favor.
“Great players make great plays. Great ones make exceptional plays,” Jones said. “And so I hope we advance here, where a handful of great plays, if I may be arm waving about it, could be the difference in a world championship.”
The Cowboys surprised a lot of people when they signed former Indianapolis Colts wide receiver T.Y. Hilton, which some took to mean the team was no longer pursuing OBJ.
Hilton may be able to play against the Jacksonville Jaguars this Sunday.
“I think he can help (against Jacksonville),” Jones said. “He came in really in shape. And he’s got all that experience.”
Hilton played a huge part in the Indianapolis offense when he was healthy. While he was with the Colts he amassed almost 10,000 yards receiving and 53 touchdowns. He may be the down-the-field threat the Cowboys need since they traded Amari Cooper.
