The Dallas Cowboys suffered a disappointing loss to the Philadelphia Eagles on Saturday night, and it seems like it’s still affecting team owner Jerry Jones.

During the season, Jones does a weekly appearance on local radio station 105.3 The Fan. But following this weekend’s playoff loss, the Cowboys team owner abruptly canceled his appearance this week.

“Just got word that Jerry Jones will not be joining us tomorrow morning to recap the season @1053thefan @rjchoppy @BobbyBeltTX @Peyton_Russell1. Stephen Jones was not on today @kandc1053,” host Shan Shariff said on Monday.

Shortly after Shariff broke the news on Twitter, 105.3 The Fan shared a statement on Jones’ absence, revealing that Jones did not provide a reason for canceling his appearance.

“We are not aware of the reasoning behind the cancelations, but the team is conducting end-of-season meetings on Monday at The Star. It’s also certainly possible that the interviews are rescheduled at a later time this week,” 105.3 said in a statement.

As the news of the cancelation hit Twitter, some suggested that the move might be to prepare for some potential staff shakeup later in the week while others simply saw it as a cowardly, sore loser move from Jerry Jones after a frustrating loss. But whatever the reason, people had plenty to say about his absence on Twitter.

One way or another, Jones will likely return to the radio show to recap the season at some point. But it’s clear that it won’t be this week.
