The Dallas Cowboys are off to a strong start to the 2023 NFL season, but even team owner and general manager Jerry Jones thinks there’s another team that should be the favorites in the NFC: the San Francisco 49ers.
During a recent appearance on 105.3 The Fan in Dallas, Jerry Jones had a pretty honest assessment of the San Francisco 49ers, making it pretty clear that he thinks they are the favorites to win the NFC and earn a trip to the Super Bowl this season.
“They are right now, probably the most likely team to go win the Super Bowl,” Jones said according to ESPN.com, “but in order for them to get there they have to go by us, hopefully two times if that’s the way it falls in the playoffs and we’re in the playoffs, of course.
“But the bottom line is you’re playing the best, you don’t need the game to tell you you’re playing the best, but you need the game to show you how you stack up against the best.”
The Cowboys will travel to San Francisco to face the Niners on Sunday night, so we’ll learn very soon how the Cowboys stack up against San Francisco.
