Dallas Cowboys rookie running back Ezekiel Elliott had an impressive debut Thursday against the Seattle Seahawks. However, his pregame activity is getting as much attention as his in-game performance.

Prior to the game, Elliott was caught on video by TMZ at a marijuana dispensary in Seattle. Though Elliott reportedly did not purchase any marijuana, Dallas owner Jerry Jones is still not pleased with his rookie running back.

Jones expressed his dismay with Elliott following the game. And to no one’s surprise, the Cowboys owner had plenty to say.

“Well, I think that in and of itself the reason we are talking about is in a way part of the learning process,” Jones said after the Cowboys’ loss to the Seattle Seahawks on Thursday. “But it’s not good. It’s just not good. It’s just not good.”

“Again, that’s a part of just really getting the big picture here,” Jones said. “No matter if you played at whatever level, there is a picture here of interest. So again, I’m aware of it. I heard the report. I would know how he is, and he needs to look at that. And the other thing is it’s just not good.”

This is not the first time Dallas has had to deal with off-the-field issues involving Elliott. In July, a woman filed a police report in Columbus, Ohio, accusing Elliot of domestic assault. Elliott has denied these allegations, and the team has supported his denial.

Though a trip to a dispensary is not something to get too worked up about, the fact that Elliott is making as many off-the-field headlines is probably worth some concern. The Cowboys have enough off-the-field problems between Rolando McClain and Randy Gregory. They don’t need their star running back to have issues, too.
