The New York Jets struggled heavily on the offensive side of the ball without star quarterback Aaron Rodgers. This led to Jets head coach Robert Saleh answering questions about the team’s quarterback situation on Monday.

Third-year quarterback Zach Wilson struggled yet again in Week 2, completing less than 50 percent of his passes and throwing three interceptions in a 30-10 loss to the Dallas Cowboys.

Some Jets fans have been calling for the team to look outside the organization to replace Zach Wilson as the team’s starter for the rest of the season.

Those fans are seemingly destined to be disappointed, as Saleh told reporters on Monday that the team is not likely to add another quarterback this week.

“I don’t think so,” said Saleh via The Athletic’s Zach Rosenblatt on potentially adding another quarterback.

This means that Wilson is likely to be their starter in Week 3, which fans aren’t exactly thrilled about considering Wilson’s struggles thus far this year.

The Jets came into the season as preseason AFC contenders with the thought that Aaron Rodgers would be at the helm on offense. Now that Zach Wilson is their starter instead of Rodgers, it seems likely that this Jets team may not even make the postseason.

Regardless, it seems like Saleh and company are prepared to go down with Zach Wilson and the ship at quarterback for the rest of the season…
