Ever since the Denver Broncos fired head coach Nathaniel Hackett earlier this month, Michigan Wolverines head coach Jim Harbaugh has been rumored to be a candidate to replace him. Those rumors heated up a little bit recently with news that Harbaugh is expected to take an NFL job if it’s offered. And based on a recent report, not only will he be offered the job with Denver, but he’ll be offered an absolutely massive contract.

On Tuesday morning, Colin Cowherd of Fox Sports revealed on his show The Herd With Colin Cowherd that the Denver Broncos are prepared to offer Jim Harbaugh a contract worth $20 million, which Cowherd expects him to accept.

“Jim Harbaugh will accept the job for the Denver Broncos if he is offered the job,” Cowherd said on his show. “Now I had said yesterday that I think Michigan is a wonderful, wonderful place. He’s done a great job. I wouldn’t leave. But I was told later yesterday afternoon that they’re going to offer him $20 million. So that kind of changes things.”

Obviously, this goes against Harbaugh’s comments earlier this week when he passionately declared that he would be returning to Michigan. But obviously, things can change rather quickly in football.
