During the San Francisco 49ers’ loss to the Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday, cameras panned to Niners quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo. When 49er fans saw Jimmy G, injured and out with an ankle injury, he was smiling ear-to-ear.
This did not sit well with some fans who thought he should be taking the game more seriously.
The 49ers lost all three of their starting quarterbacks at one point this season, including Brock Purdy, who was also injured in Sunday’s game. But he had to return when San Francisco fourth-string quarterback Josh Johnson also hurt himself.
Garoppolo would say later he wished he had a helmet. But, that answer and his demeanor did not seem to make fans happy at all.
Some people think that Jimmy G didn’t take this loss seriously at all. But with the way the team played, you couldn’t do anything but laugh.
The Niners basically had no chance after Purdy was hurt. Some fans think the 49ers got what they deserve after the way they treated former quarterback Colin Kaepernick.

People legitimately trying to make this a story lol. Meanwhile the fox booth is talking about how Kittle (right next to him) is telling jokes trying to get the team to loosen up.. but sure, he’s probably happy to not make a super bowl he could very well start

Whatever the case may be, Jimmy Garoppolo didn’t do himself any favors Sunday. But after the game Sunday, it might not even matter, because he may not be with the team much longer.
