The biggest story coming out of the Las Vegas Raiders camp is not the return of quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo from his foot injury, but his struggles in practice.

Either the Raiders defense is really good as some are saying they are, or Garoppolo is really bad. And that has many Raider fans concerned.

Garoppolo had back-to-back days of throwing three interceptions to the defense in Friday and Saturday’s practice.

Raiders cornerback Marcus Peters, who had one of the three interceptions Saturday, just chalks it up to the Las Vegas defense being eager to make plays.

“We’re hungry. I want to get the ball, and when the ball is in the air, you’ve got to have a will and want to go get it. And I want to go get it more than everybody else. You’ve got to just make sure that infects the whole locker room and we all just do it as one unit, you feel me, and it’s going to pay off for us.”

To add context to this story, those who covered Garoppolo in San Francisco recalled a time when he threw five interceptions in a 49ers practice but later would lead the team to the Super Bowl that season.

So, either Garoppolo’s struggles aren’t a big problem, or they’re a sign of more bad things to come.
