The Denver Broncos surprised the NFL community when rookie quarterback Bo Nix led the franchise to a postseason berth last season under the guidance of head coach Sean Payton.
The Broncos were clearly overmatched by the Buffalo Bills in the wild-card round to make for an early postseason exit, but it’s clear that there’s a lot to be excited about in Denver.
Now, the Broncos may have more to get excited about, as a shocking addition to the roster may be in the works, per one prominent league insider.
“Former #Chargers starting RB J.K. Dobbins is headed to Denver tonight to have dinner with coaches and visit the #Broncos facility Thursday, per source. The dynamic Dobbins, who had 1,084 yards from scrimmage and 9 TDs in 2024, now could land with an AFC West contender,” reported NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero on Wednesday.
Fans reacted to the development on social media.
“Something about Denver I just don’t like. Obviously division rivals, but I hate them even more than the Raiders or Chiefs,” one Chargers fan wrote on Twitter.
“Denver can have him. He was great last season but Chargers don’t need him anymore,” another fan added.
“That would make me very upset but a GREAT fit for Dobbin,” another fan added.
It’ll be interesting to see if the Broncos decide to go in this direction.
