This week, the Kansas City Chiefs celebrated their Super Bowl victory over the Philadelphia Eagles with a trip to the White House, where they were honored and celebrated by United States President Joe Biden. But even though the trip itself wasn’t political and focused primarily on football and celebrating their accomplishments on the field, one Kansas City Chiefs star sent Joe Biden a subtle message with his wardrobe.
During the White House visit, Kansas City Chiefs kicker Harrison Butker wore some very subtle Pro-Life messaging as part of his suit as he stood behind Joe Biden at the podium.
During Monday’s visit, Butker wore a tie with wording that read “Vulnerari Praesidio,” which is Latin for “Protect the Vulnerable” – a popular Pro-Life message. He also wore a gold pin that replicated the size and shape of a 10-week-old aborted baby’s feet.
Butker wanted said he wanted to send a message to Biden, who describes himself as a devout Catholic.
“I want to give the most vulnerable, the unborn, a voice at a place where every effort has been made to allow and normalize the tragic termination of their lives,” Butker told The Daily Signal in a statement. “As a father who has experienced three miscarriages, my wife and I understand the hardships that come with losing a child. Every life is precious and should be valued whether outside or inside the womb.”
The move generated quite some reactions on social media.
How do you say "right wing hypocrisy" in Latin https://t.co/0CxN9yGqHx

Where's his tie that says "Increase funding for schools"? Kindergarten programs? Pre- and Post- natal care? School lunches?
I didn't think so.

Sports players need to keep politics out of the sports or did this guy just need his 15 minutes of fame.

Not often you see a voice from the right side of the spectrum in the sports world.

The White House did not immediately respond to Butker’s message or his statement.
