After just three seasons in the NFL, Cincinnati Bengals star quarterback Joe Burrow has already established himself as one of the top quarterbacks in the entire league and is likely headed for a huge payday when he inevitably inks a new long-term deal with the Bengals.

But based on some recent comments from teammate and longtime friend Ja’Marr Chase, it sounds like Joe Burrow might not be too worried about maximizing his pay.

During an appearance on the NFL Network on Wednesday, Ja’Marr Chase said that he thinks Burrow will set up his contract in such a way that it allows him to “keep some of his weapons around him” and that he isn’t really concerned with how much money he’s going to make.

“At the end of the day, I don’t think Joe’s really too worried about how much money he’s gonna make, cause he’s already making a tremendous amount,” Chase said. “It’ll always work. It’ll work out for itself. It’ll all work out. I think Joe knows what he wants and how he wants to set up his contract to keep some of his weapons around him and I think that’s the biggest part for him.”

If this is true, it could be massive for the Bengals as they try to keep their young talent under contract. And the NFL world had plenty to say about it on Twitter.

This would certainly be a huge development in Cincinnati.
