Joe Burrow Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow shows his frustration after being sacked for one of eight times in Super Bowl 56. Syndication The Enquirer

It’s been a wildly successful start to a very promising young career for Cincinnati Bengals star quarterback Joe Burrow as he already leads the franchise in playoff wins, has now made the AFC title game in two of his first three seasons in the league, and has a chance to make his second Super Bowl with a win over the Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday night. But he’s not exactly surprised by this success.

When asked if it felt “surreal” to have this consistent success so early in his career, Joe Burrow had a pretty blunt and bold response.

“I wouldn’t say it’s surreal. I would say winning is expected,” Burrow said according to WLWT.

Still, Burrow does acknowledge that most people would not necessarily agree with that after the long, hard seasons the Bengals franchise had seen before his arrival in Cincinnati.

“I think if you would’ve told people that we were going to be in this spot a couple of years ago, I think people would say we were crazy, but we trusted the process, trusted the organization and the front office and put together a great team and great people and got us to this point,” Burrow said.

It’s safe to say that Burrow has already brought the franchise to prominence. And it sounds like he will be around for a long time.
