Tyreek Hill

It’s safe to say that most children would be absolutely ecstatic to see their father start an NFL football game and would be excited to attend the game supporting him and wearing his jersey. But apparently, that’s not true for Daniel Flacco, the son of New York Jets quarterback Joe Flacco.

With Jets starting quarterback Mike White ruled out with an injury earlier this week ahead of Sunday’s game against the Miami Dolphins, Joe Flacco was named the starter for the game in Miami. Daniel Flacco was particularly excited about this week’s matchup, not because it gave him a chance to support his father in an NFL game, but because it gave him a chance to wear his Tyreek Hill jersey to the game.

“I knew my kids were going to be excited I was going to start, but I knew mostly that my son, Daniel, was going to be excited to wear Tyreek [Hill] jersey,” Flacco told Fox broadcaster Joe Davis before the game.

Not only did Daniel Flacco get a chance to wear his Tyreek Hill jersey, but he also got to meet Hill on the field before the game and have his jersey signed.

It pays off when your dad plays in the NFL, even if he’s not your favorite player.
