Over the past few seasons, Joe Mixon has been one of the best and most dominant running backs in the entire league. He has been an integral part of a prolific Cincinnati Bengals offense, even scoring a record five total touchdowns in the last full game with the team. Unfortunately, he hit a slight setback with a concussion last month and has missed several games as a result. But it looks like he’ll be returning for this week’s game against the Cleveland Browns.

According to a report from NFL insider and reporter Jeremy Fowler of ESPN, Joe Mixon will be returning to the Bengals lineup this week.

“#Bengals RB Joe Mixon (concussion protocol) is off the injury report, good to go as starter for Cincy vs. #Browns. Was a close call last week but good to go now,” Fowler said in a Tweet on Friday.

It’s massive news for the Cincinnati Bengals and the league as a whole, and the NFL world had plenty to say about it on Twitter.

In Joe Mixon’s absence, backup running back Samaje Perine has filled in marvelously, even scoring three receiving touchdowns in the same game in which Mixon originally went down with a concussion.
