Johnny Manziel has nuked his Twitter account after tweeting advice to President Donald Trump about staying away from the notifications section on the popular social media service. Seriously.

After spending last week tweeting about turning over a new leaf, being happier than he’s been in a long time and trying not be a douche, Manziel tweeted Trump about not letting Twitter notifications get to him, saying “shit will drive you crazy, lead the country and let them hate.”

So yes, Manziel is now giving advice to the President of the United States about tweeting habits. Well, at least he *was* before he thought better of his course of action and deleted his entire Twitter account.

Trump could use Manziel’s advice. He’s got the worst, thin-skinned account on Twitter. However, taking advice from Manziel, who was better at throwing his career away than throwing touchdown passes, wouldn’t be a great move.

Manziel likely realized tweeting advice to Trump was 1) dumb and 2) sure to generate headlines, so pressing the delete button on his Twitter account is probably for the best. If he’s real about changing his career arc and returning to the NFL some day, getting rid of Twitter will probably help serve that goal. It’s bizarre that Manziel thought he was actually helping Trump with the advice. Get out of that bubble Johnny.
