The Tennessee Titans made an absolutely shocking move in their front office on Tuesday afternoon when the organization suddenly decided to part ways with general manager Jon Robison even though he’s never had a losing season and has the team on the brink of yet another division title and playoff appearance. The Titans did not offer a specific explanation for why the decision was made, but that didn’t stop fans from offering their own wild theory.

During the 2022 NFL Draft, the Titans made the decision to trade wide receiver AJ Brown to the Philadelphia Eagles. That trade has not worked out for them as Brown has emerged as one of the top receivers in the NFL while the Titans have struggled to move the ball through the air.

As Michael David Smith of Pro Football Talk theorizes, this decision to trade AJ Brown might have cost Robinson his job.

“Titans coach Mike Vrabel didn’t want to trade AJ Brown. Jon Robinson did it anyway. On Sunday Brown had 119 yards and 2 TDs as his new team blew out the Titans. And now Robinson is paying the price,” Smith said.

Making matters worse, Brown absolutely torched the Titans in the most recent matchup between the two teams on Sunday, leading many to suggest the same thing as Smith.

It would certainly be a wild reason to fire a GM in the middle of a season,
