Green Bay Packers Raj Mehta-USA TODAY Sports

The Green Bay Packers have not had to worry about their quarterback situation for almost two decades as superstar Aaron Rodgers has led the way for the team for 18 years, leading the team to a Super Bowl title and claiming multiple league MVP Awards. But with Rodgers now leaving for the New York Jets, it sure sounds like there’s a little more uncertainty at the position.

With Aaron Rodgers leaving the team, the Green Bay Packers will obviously turn to Jordan Love, who’s served as Rodgers’ backup for the past three seasons. But some recent comments from Packers head coach Matt LaFleur do not exactly inspire a lot of confidence in Love.

During an interview on Tuesday, LaFleur got brutally honest about what he expects to see from Jordan Love this season, saying “we all have to kind of temper our expectations for him.”

This is quite a concerning assessment of the Packers’ quarterback situation and is obviously not what Green Bay fans want to hear after having an MVP-caliber quarterback for nearly two decades. And the NFL world had plenty to say about it on Twitter.

It will certainly be interesting to see how Love performs this upcoming NFL season.
