Six days after Buffalo Bills safety Jordan Poyer announced he was canceling his charity golf tournament scheduled for July 10 at Trump National Doral Golf Club in Miami, he’s now saying that it’s back on.

The Avalon Sports Group, which represents Poyer, released a statement about the tournament reversal.

“The Jordan Poyer Celebrity Open has been resumed and is scheduled to take place on July 10 at the Blue Monster course.”

The Blue Monster is one of multiple golf courses at Trump National Doral Golf Club and has hosted several PGA Tour events.

Poyer had originally said he was canceling the tournament after his representatives and the Erie County Medical Center Foundation received backlash with the association with Trump, who was charged with 34 felony counts in connection with hush money payments to an adult actress and then later charged on 37 felony counts for mishandling classified documents.

Avalon noted that the tournament’s presenting sponsor would now be PublicSq, a business platform that describes itself as “pro-life, pro-family, pro-freedom.”

“It’s going to be an amazing time,” Poyer said Friday on Fox News. “The fans are going to be out there. I’ve already got a huge list of players coming out, influencers. It’s going to be a great time.”
