Earlier this month, Buffalo Bills safety Damar Hamlin suffered a horrifying injury that left him in desperate need of life-saving CPR on the field during a game against the Cincinnati Bengals. He’s since had a miraculous recovery, has been released from the hospital, and was even in attendance at Sunday’s playoff game against the Bengals. But thanks to a wild conspiracy theory, not everyone believes that.
One insane conspiracy theory suggests that Damar Hamlin has not actually healed from his injuries and was replaced by a body double for the appearance at Sunday night’s game. The conspiracy theory is fueled by the fact that Hamlin covered his face for most of his appearance on Sunday, was kept separate from everyone else during the game, and has not made any public comments since his recovery.
But Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen thinks the conspiracy theory is “stupid.”

“Yeah, that’s stupid,” Josh Allen said during an appearance on Kyle Brandt’s Basement. “One: that’s Damar’s flag. He likes wearing that. Two: he was in the locker room with us pregame. So, yes. That was Damar. There’s absolutely zero chance. Absolutely zero chance. That’s the Damar Hamlin. That’s our guy. That’s our brother. He was with us pregame, postgame. He was up in the suite with his family, his little brother, 100 percent. So, people need to stop it. Stop that s***.”
Allen’s comments should put the insane conspiracy theory to rest.
