Josh Jacobs has never been afraid to speak his mind.

So anyone wondering how the Las Vegas Raiders running back feels about the new Pro Bowl Games format, wonder no more.

“This s— is stupid,” Jacobs said Saturday, according to The Athletic’s Tashan Reed.

While Jacobs can take pride in a great season after leading the NFL with 1,653 rushing yards, it’s clear he’d rather be someplace else rather than the Pro Bowl Games. After years of complaints from players and fans, the NFL redesigned the format this year. The event includes skills competitions, dodgeball, and other lighthearted events leading up to a flag football game on Sunday.

To be clear, no one liked the old format, a meaningless exhibition football game where players simply went through the motions to avoid injury. Is the new format better than that? Absolutely.

While some players might not want to participate in the activities, there’s not a player in Las Vegas who is not proud to have been honored with a Pro Bowl selection.

NFL fans were split on Jacobs’ thoughts.

“IF players would have actually played the Pro Bowl with conviction, they wouldn’t have changed it. It’s on the players and the league that they changed the format,” tweeted DD Raider.

“The same crybabies that complained about the old format are the ones complaining about the new format,” tweeted a fan.

“Wayyyy better than the old non-game,” tweeted another fan.
