The Detroit Lions 2021-2022 NFL season wasn’t one to remember, finishing 3-13-1 for their fourth consecutive losing campaign. They hope that players like Josh Reynolds will help them get back on track next season and the wide receiver appears to be ready to be part of the solution.

Reynolds was claimed off waivers after half a season with the Tennessee Titans and he gave the Lions a shot in the arm thanks to reuniting with former Los Angeles Rams teammate Jared Goff. Reynolds caught 19 passes for 306 yards and two touchdowns in seven games and all three Detroit wins came during that stretch.

The Goff-Reynolds connection is a strong one as the QB-WR combo has 52 receptions and 618 yards together and makes them ideal battery mates moving forward. While some people might try to get away from the Lions franchise, Reynolds is excited for the possibilities and the way he’s been treated by the organization.

“They came in with full trust in me and kind of let me do my thing,” Reynolds said Wednesday, via MLive. “That just showed how much trust they had in me. That was a big reason why I was also looking forward to getting this deal done with them.

“For me, it was an easy decision. As long as we were able to kind of get all the little details right, I was more than willing to come back. I just felt like this was the best move and, honestly, I love the decision I made. Just happy to be here. It feels like home, just even being back in the building. I can’t really give you the words I’m trying to get out right now, but I can just tell you, I’m more than happy to be here, man, and I’m ready for this season.”

The Lions will be able to look for another playmaking wide receiver in the NFL Draft and, combined with Reynolds, Amon-Ra St. Brown, and Quintez Cephus, we could see Detroit’s pass attack become one of the league’s best soon enough.
