No love is lost between the Philadelphia Eagles and New York Giants.

That was especially true when the Eagles took down the Giants 38-7 in the Divisional Round of this year’s playoffs. It’s even more true after the comments that New York’s star safety Julian Love made on NFL Network’s Good Morning Football on Thursday morning.

Love wasted no time going after Eagles coach Nick Sirianni, who has led Philadelphia to the Super Bowl in his second year as head coach.

“He’s a guy who really is doing a good job because he’s not getting in the way of his team,” Love said via Bob Wankel on Twitter. “He’s got an experienced roster from top to bottom, offense, and defense.”

Eagles fans and players alike would likely beg to differ, as Sirianni took over a roster that went 4-11-1 with his predecessor, Doug Pederson. Since Sirianni took over at the helm, the Eagles have gone 25-12 (23-11 regular season, 2-1 postseason) — not to mention a Super Bowl berth.

Love was asked by Peter Schrager, an analyst on the show, about the video of Sirianni that’s now gone viral of him nodding his head in approval.

“I don’t like it at all. He’s in for a free ride right now. You guys could coach this team,” he said in response to the panel.

Yes, the Eagles have built up a much better roster around Sirianni, but he’s also elevated the play off of the offense and developed quarterback Jalen Hurts. The Eagles are more concerned about the Kansas City Chiefs than Love, but those comments likely won’t go unnoticed in 2023, especially when the Giants lost to Philadelphia three times during the 2022 season.
