One big question going this year’s 2023 NFL Draft is whether the Chicago Bears should trade quarterback Justin Fields, essentially, for Alabama quarterback Bryce Young.

A lot of NFL analysts love Young, but think it may be a huge mistake to trade Fields for Young. However, one former NFL general manager said the Bears should pull the trigger.

Mike Tannenbaum has been saying for a while now he thinks Young is the better QB in this situation. And now, he believes the Bears should seek to acquire him. “Over the next 3 to 5 years, if we were sitting here, I think Bryce Young is going to be the better NFL quarterback than Justin Fields,” he said. “Taking nothing away from Justin Fields, I think he has a chance to be really special because of what he could do down the field with his accuracy.

One of the criticisms of Fields since joining the league is his accuracy as a passer, something Young doesn’t seem to have a problem with.

In his first few years in the league, Fields accumulated over 4,000 passing yards, 24 touchdowns, and 21 interceptions. While he improved last year, Tannenbaum still thinks it’s time for the Bears to make a move.

He even compared Young to NBA star Steph Curry adding he has good “short-area movement” and he will become a “great passer, not a good passer.”

Sounds like the Bears need to decide soon if they want to make a move in the draft to get Bryce Young.
