Chicago Bears quarterback Justin Fields Ken Blaze-USA TODAY Sports

The Chicago Bears traded up to select former Ohio State Buckeyes star quarterback Justin Fields with the No. 11 pick in the 2021 NFL Draft. But after two seasons with the team, the Bears once again have the top pick in the NFL Draft. And even though it seems unlikely, there is at least a chance the Bears select another quarterback this year – and it sounds like he’s prepared if that happens.

“I think they would let me know that before,” Justin Fields told Sports Illustrated Radio, according to Fox News. “But what would be going through my mind is, ‘Who am I playing for next?’”

While Fields likely has nothing to worry about in that regard, the Bears have not yet informed Fields what exactly they plan to do with the No. 1 overall pick, which might make him a little bit nervous. But even with all the unknowns, Fields is simply worrying about what he can control.

“With all that going on, I just try to control the controllables. And focus on me. Focus on growing mentally, spiritually and, of course, physically, and as a quarterback this offseason.”

We’ll just have to wait and see how this situation plays out between Fields and the Bears.
