On Monday, Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Justin Jefferson learned his Madden NFL 24 rating.

The world celebrated the fact that Jefferson made the 99 Club. EA Sports revealed that the former LSU standout earned a 99 rating in the upcoming edition of the longtime NFL gaming staple.

“The Best in The Game,” EA’s Madden NFL Twitter said. “Welcome to the #99Club @JJettas2,” they added.

Jefferson certainly earned the lofty rating with his prolific on-field play. He’s become one of the most productive young receivers in NFL history, already totaling 4,825 receiving yards and 25 receiving touchdowns.

Reactions to the high rating poured out onto social media.

Among them? From his own team. The Vikings said, “99 only cuz there is no 100.”

Jefferson himself was ecstatic. He said on Twitter, “Y’all have no idea what it means to be a 99 in Madden!! Since I was 7y/o I been creating my own player making him a 99 and now I don’t have to.” That’s just the best kind of reaction.

Vikesinsider noted that Jefferson became the youngest player to receive a 99 rating at 24 years old. An impressive gaming feat.

And even ESPN NFL insider Adam Schefter made sure to chime in on the news.

Suffice it to say EA Sports and Madden NFL 24 created a lot of attention for Justin Jefferson on Monday morning. The Vikings standout is being talked about all over.
