The Kansas City Chiefs are looking at an uphill climb after the first five weeks of the season. Kansas City is sitting at 2-3, and has already lost to the current first-place team in the AFC West, the Los Angeles Chargers.
The Chiefs will have to bring their best this Sunday, as they’re gearing up to face one of the most dangerous teams in the league, the Philadelphia Eagles. As long as the Chiefs have star quarterback Patrick Mahomes, they’ll have a chance to get things turned around.
Unfortunately for Mahomes, it is tracking toward him having to find a way to beat the Eagles without one of his top targets.
“Xavier Worthy (shoulder, ankle) won’t practice Thursday,” reported Underdog NFL.
Fans reacted to the news on social media.
“Worthy should be fine but something to monitor for sure,” one fan wrote on Twitter.
“That’s fine he needs the rest,” another fan added.
“He practiced in full yesterday, hoping this is a planned rest day,” someone else wrote.
“My fantasy receivers to start the season: Nabers, Hill, Worthy, Pearsall….about to just stop setting a lineup lol,” one fantasy football general manager added.
It’ll be interesting to see how the Chiefs do if Worthy can’t go on Sunday.
