Prominent rapper Kanye West appears to have deleted his X account after a series of bizarre, hateful, and antisemitic posts, at least one of which mentioned Taylor Swift.
Kanye West – who now goes by Ye – began making inflammatory posts on X on Friday where he openly claimed to be a Nazi and expressed his admiration for Adolf Hitler.
Ye continued to make erratic, hateful, and inflammatory posts throughout the weekend, including during the Super Bowl and the halftime performance from rapper Kendrick Lamar.
In one post, Ye posted a rant about Taylor Swift, who was in attendance at the Super Bowl in support of her boyfriend Travis Kelce. Ye appeared to be referencing Lamar’s song “Not Like Us,” which Swift watched Lamar perform at halftime.
“IF ITS ABOUT THE CULTURE … WHY ARE WE LETTING TAYLOR SWIFT BE SEEN ON TV SINGING A SONG ABOUT TAKING A BLACK MAN DOWN AND ACCUSING OF THINGS THAT CAN TAKE A BLACK MAN DOWN FOR LIFE,” West wrote in a since-deleted post.
Following this post and a string of other bizarre and hateful posts, Ye decided to delete his account altogether.
“I’m logging out of Twitter. I appreciate Elon for allowing me to vent. It has been very cathartic to use the world as a sounding board. It was like an Ayahuasca trip. Love all of you who gave me your energy and attention. To we connect again. Good afternoon and good night,” he wrote before deleting his account.
This is yet another chapter in a wild saga and career for the Grammy-winning rapper.
