During Sunday’s game between the New York Giants and the Indianapolis Colts, Giants pass rusher Kayvon Thibodeaux sacked Colts quarterback Nick Foles with a hard hit in the backfield and promptly celebrated by doing snow angels on the turf. The problem is, while Thibodeaux was doing his celebration, Foles was laying right next to him, obviously injured.
Kayvon Thibodeaux‘s antics caused quite a stir in the NFL world with plenty of people taking to social media to blast the pass rusher. And after the game, Colts veteran center Ryan Kelly revealed his thoughts on the situation, calling Thibodeaux’s celebration “horses***.”
“Hopefully his teammates will — maybe one day he’ll learn that injuries happen in this league, you never want to happen to the guy that you’re going against,” Ryan Kelly said after the game according to team reporter JJ Stankevitz of Colts.com. “That’s just horses—.”
After the game, Thibodeaux defended his celebration, saying that he didn’t know Foles was injured before his celebration.
“When I did realize that he was hurt, that’s when we started getting up,” he said after the game according to ESPN. “When you’re doing a celebration, you’re not looking to see who’s doing what. But I hope he gets well and I hope he’s all right.”
