The Denver Broncos had an extremely impressive year despite some inconsistencies on the offensive side of the ball. The Broncos dethroned the Kansas City Chiefs as the AFC West champions after nine seasons of dominance from Patrick Mahomes and company, thanks to arguably the best defensive unit in the league.
Denver’s season came to a screeching halt in the AFC Championship after second-year quarterback Bo Nix was sidelined with an ankle injury he suffered in a divisional round win over the Buffalo Bills.
The feeling in Denver is that the offense will improve as Nix continues to develop as a professional, and it looks like it is going to have to, as its defense is set to have its hands full.
There was speculation that the Chiefs would be aggressive in their quest to get back to the top of the division, and that aggressiveness has now been confirmed, as they’ve added the reigning Super Bowl champion to an offense that already has Mahomes and a returning Travis Kelce.

It’ll be interesting to see what changes the Broncos make to combat this. One major change has already been made to the organization, with head coach Sean Payton relinquishing offensive play-calling duties, marking the first time in his career as a head coach that he won’t make the calls.
