Eyebrows were raised earlier this offseason when the Cleveland Browns traded with the Philadelphia Eagles for quarterback Kenny Pickett. Pickett began his career with the Pittsburgh Steelers after being selected by Pittsburgh in the first round.
Now that Pickett is a member of the Browns, the Steelers’ division rivals, many expected Pickett to try and distance himself from the city. However, Pickett was recently back in Acrisure Stadium, where he played with both the Steelers and the Pittsburgh Panthers, who he suited up for in his college days.
“Kenny Pickett returns to Acrisure Stadium for the first time since playing for the Steelers,” 93.7 The Fan tweeted on Saturday, along with a picture of Pickett heading into the locker room from the field.
Fans reacted to the video on social media.
“Hopefully they booed him 100% of the time just like when the Browns play at Pittsburgh this year,” one fan wrote on Twitter.
“Browns gonna beat the Steelers twice by Tomlin doing his thing. Mark my word,” another fan added.
“They should have escorted him out in HANDCUFFS,” wrote someone else.
It’ll be interesting to see the reception Pickett gets when he returns as an official member of the Browns.
