Thursday’s game between the Chicago Bears and the Washington Commanders made for another difficult game to watch for many fans, with both offenses struggling to do much for the majority of the game.
The Commanders were ultimately able to do just a bit more offensively to come away with the victory, which has led to many becoming very critical of the Bears on Friday.
Among those is Hall of Fame quarterback Kurt Warner, who did not mince words about how he felt the Bears’ offense performed on Thursday night.
“Man, after watching tape, my big conclusion: the Chicago Bears are a mess in the passing game right now,” Warner tweeted on Friday morning. “And everyone is taking their turn – scheme, QB, WRs… which makes it a difficult fix!”

One fan replied that he believes the Bears play calling is “doing too much,” and Warner responded by absolutely blasting that notion.
“No, not at all… based on concepts I saw and what they are asking QB to do, I asked more of my guys in HighSchool… so that shouldn’t be it!”

Warner is absolutely right in that there are a number of evident problems going on with the Bears offense at the moment.
While second-year quarterback Justin Fields missed a number of throws on Thursday, his receivers have also not helped him out whatsoever.
While young receiver Darnell Mooney is a solid receiving option, surrounding him with two journeyman receivers in Dante Pettis and Equanimeous St. Brown as the other two starting receivers is a huge concern for Fields moving forward.
The lack of receiving talent seems to be very clearly limiting Fields’ as a quarterback, and they will certainly need to get him more help if they plan to develop him into a franchise quarterback moving forward.
