Over the weekend, Arizona Cardinals star quarterback Kyler Murray spoke out on social media after the tragic mass shooting at an outlet mall in Allen, Texas – his hometown. He called the event “sickening” and asked when events like this are going to stop happening in the United States. But it appears that he’s done more than just send a message of support on social media.

According to Pro Football Talk, Kyler Murray has donated $15,000 to six-year-old William Cho, who lost his family in the tragic shooting.

“Murray donated $15,000 to a fundraiser benefitting a 6-year old whose parents and younger brother were killed in the mass shooting Saturday. Cindy, Kyu and 3-year-old James Cho were among eight victims killed by the gunman,” Charean Williams wrote for Pro Football Talk on Wednesday morning.

Murray quietly made the contribution on a GoFundMe page that was set up to benefit William Cho after he lost his family in the horrifying incident. The fundraiser initially had a $50,000 goal, but it has since raised more than $1.71 million for William, as of Wednesday morning. More than 33,000 people have donated, with Murray as the top donor.

Murray grew up in Allen, Texas, playing high school football at Allen High School.
