The Arizona Cardinals have lost three winnable games in a row. Arizona is looking to get back on track this weekend, but the Cardinals will have to bring their best, as they’ll be facing off against one of the fastest-rising teams in the league, the Indianapolis Colts.
Unfortunately, for the Cardinals, it’s looking increasingly likely they’ll have to find a way to get the train back on the tracks without arguably their most important player, star quarterback Kyler Murray.
Murray missed practice on Wednesday with a foot injury. There was hope that he’d be good enough to go on Thursday, but he still wasn’t healthy enough to go, according to one prominent insider around the league.
“No practice today for either Ravens QB Lamar Jackson (hamstring) or Cardinals QB Kyler Murray (foot),” reported ESPN’s senior insider Adam Schefter on Thursday.
Fans reacted to the news on social media.
“When you’re a mobile QB in the NFL and you rely on your legs as much as Murray and Lamar Jackson rely on their legs, it’s bound to take a toll on you,” one fan wrote on Twitter.
“Kyler tweaked his foot the same way the Cards tweak every 4th quarter lead,” someone else added.
“Cardinals might actually have good qb play this week,” one fan added.
It’ll be interesting to see if the foot winds up keeping Murray sidelined for an extended period of time.
