Over the past several months, it’s been quite clear that the Baltimore Ravens and star quarterback Lamar Jackson were not on the same in their contract negotiations with the two sides failing to agree on a contract extension that would keep him with the team for the foreseeable future. And it appears that Jackson is now ready to move on from the team.

On Tuesday afternoon, league insider Mike Florio of Pro Football Talk reported that an individual not certified by the NFL Players Association but claiming to represent Lamar Jackson has been reaching out to teams across the league. And Florio reports that the representative has been telling teams that Jackson is ready to part ways with the Baltimore Ravens.

“As one source explained it, the person has said that Jackson does not want a fully-guaranteed contract. Some regard this as a possible exercise in semantics, with Jackson still wanting a very significant amount fully guaranteed — up to $200 million or more — with one more non-guaranteed year on the back end,” Florio wrote on Tuesday.

“Another source said that the representative is telling other teams that Lamar is ready to move on from the Ravens.”

We’ll certainly have to see how this situation develops.
