When Baltimore Ravens star quarterback Lamar Jackson suffered a knee injury back in early December, it was initially expected that he would miss between one and three weeks but was certainly expected to be ready for the NFL playoffs, even if his recovery took a little bit longer. But it’s now been over a month, and Jackson has missed four consecutive games and will likely miss a fifth as he still hasn’t returned to practice.

At this point, it’s fair to wonder if Lamar Jackson will be available in the opening round of the NFL Playoffs, but head coach John Harbaugh does not want to talk about his star quarterback’s injury status ahead of this week’s game against the Cincinnati Bengals.

“I’m just probably going to leave all that stuff alone,” Harbaugh said according to Pro Football Talk. “I’m going to focus on the game and just get ready to coach our guys and have our guys get ready to play the game.”

While it’s fair for Harbaugh to want to focus on this week’s game, it is at least slightly concerning that he doesn’t have a simple answer regarding when his quarterback is expected to return to the field, especially after that return has already been delayed by multiple weeks.

It’s certainly a wild and concerning situation, and it’s even fueled a conspiracy theory about Jackson’s injury status.
