The Baltimore Ravens are doing their best to keep their playoff hopes alive this season. The Ravens are 1-5 coming out of their bye week, but are looking to the return of their star quarterback, Lamar Jackson, from a hamstring injury to help turn things around.

“I’m leaning into [Jackson’s return] pretty hard,” head coach John Harbaugh said going into the bye week. “If I was on the couch with a psychiatrist right now, if I was spilling it, I would have to say I’m leaning really hard into that, really hard. For any kind of psychological well-being, spiritual well-being, I’m leaning hard on that happening. So, I’m very hopeful that that happens.”

Unfortunately, ahead of the Ravens’ next game against the Chicago Bears, Jackson remains sidelined.

“QB Lamar Jackson remains sidelined with a hamstring injury. The 2-time NFL MVP did not participate in Monday’s practice, which was the Ravens’ first one since coming off the bye. Jackson hasn’t suited up since injuring his hamstring in Kansas City on Sept. 28,” ESPN’s Ravens reporter Jamison Hensley reported.

Fans reacted to the brutal news on social media.

“No need to rush this Lamar. Your long term health is priority #1,” one fan wrote on Twitter.

“Lamar needs to be back at practice, he doesn’t play against the bears, don’t bother coming back, because the season is cooked if they go 1-6,” another fan added.

“You would have to put Mahomes in solitary confinement to keep him off the field,” someone else added.

It’ll be interesting to see if the Ravens can win if Jackson can’t go.
