The Baltimore Ravens have decided to resume talks with quarterback Lamar Jackson finally after weeks of speculation that Jackson might be on his way to the Atlanta Falcons.

But according to reports, the Ravens and the star quarterback apparently are $100 million away from Jackson’s asking price.

Many current and former NFL players support Jackson‘s effort to get more money especially after seeing what players like Patrick Mahomes and Dak Prescott have gotten over the years.

One of those players showing Jackson support is former Falcons great Michael Vick, who says the Ravens need to pay Jackson what he is worth.

“He’s had a lot of success early. He won an M.V.P. in his second year. And so you know, with that thought, it’s like, ‘I want top dollar,’” said Vick via the New York Times. “And then you look around, and you see what’s going on around you, who’s getting paid around you, and that becomes a thing in your mind for all the right reasons. You should feel that way, ‘I got more accolades than him, so I should be getting paid more.”

Even current NFL players like New York Giants linebacker Jihad Ward even praised Jackson when a reporter tried to drag Jackson after the Ravens lost to the Giants, 24-20, in which Jackson threw an interception.

“Lamar is a great player,” Ward said. “All I can say is I don’t think it was dumb. All I can say is that’s my dawg, and pay that man. Pay Lamar Jackson, please.”

Other Giants players echoed Ward in agreement and so does the rest of the NFL.
