The Baltimore Ravens didn’t have the season that they were expected to last season. Despite the absence of Cincinnati Bengals star quarterback Joe Burrow for much of the season due to injury, Ravens QB Lamar Jackson couldn’t lead the team to an AFC North title.
The Pittsburgh Steelers swept Baltimore en route to the division title, and the Ravens missed the playoffs entirely. Ravens head coach John Harbaugh was fired after the season and replaced by Jesse Minter.
However, Jackson is still upset with how the season unfolded, especially with one of the losses to the Steelers in particular. Pittsburgh was awarded a stop after a controversial no-touchdown call came from replay officials, which NFL Executive VP of Football Operations Troy Vincent is now suggesting was the wrong move.
“There was two plays in particular,” Vincent said, according to Pro Football Talk. “There was the Likely play . . . Ravens-Steelers in the end zone. And then you had the one—there was a Jets play.
“But it was the Likely play that you go, that was interesting because of the third step and they were talking about the ball extended out. So it was: What constitutes that third act?”
Jackson weighed in on Vincent’s words on social media, and he wants the loss changed to a win.
“So technically we won? 10-7 1st offseason win ever,” he tweeted.
