It’s safe to say that the Houston Texans have been among the worst teams in the NFL for the past several years, especially following the allegations against quarterback Deshaun Watson and his eventual departure from the team to the Cleveland Browns. But one of the team’s star players hasn’t given up hope.

Earlier this month, star offensive lineman Laremy Tunsil signed a massive contract extension with the team. And in his first public comments since the new deal, he sounds extremely confident about the future of the organization.

“I believe this organization is going to turn it around quickly,” Tunsil said according to Pro Football Talk. “This organization is on the rise, especially getting a guy like DeMeco Ryans in this building. He’s a young, energy guy, younger coach, and he was actually a player here too. Getting a guy like that coming into the building means a lot. We’re trying to get things turned around.”

The past few years have certainly been a struggle as Texans have not won more than four games during any of the past three seasons, finishing with records of 4-12, 4-13, and 3-13-1. We’ll have to see just how fast they can improve upon that in the coming years.
