Rookie running back Leonard Fournette has been solid for the Jaguars, scoring at least one rushing or receiving touchdown in his first four games. Maybe, as he asserted in the preseason, being an NFL running back isn’t that hard after all.

Of course, it helps when you’re huge and fast and strong, which Leonard Fournette clearly is. The Jags put the wood to the Steelers in Pittsurgh today, and Fournette had a hell of a day, racking up 181 yards and 2 touchdowns on 28 carries. And while he did find the end zone twice, his most impressive carry may have actually been this off tackle run that starts with a stiff arm, ends with Fournette trucking Mike Mitchell.

But check out what happens in between:

He waved in the contact! The “come at me bro” gesture led to a pretty big hit, and though Mitchell did get lower with his pads, and technically made the tackle, Fournette sort of just flattened him into the earth. Mitchell reacted as though he’d won that particular battle, but watching the video…nah.

Hey, the Jaguars are kind of fun! It’s been a very, very long time since that’s been true, so we should probably enjoy it while it lasts. Fournette being a special player certainly helps on that front.
