The Detroit Lions had injuries hanging over the entirety of their 2024 season. The Lions still managed to win the NFC North and secure the number one overall seed in the conference, but the injuries proved insurmountable, and the Lions were shockingly upset by the Washington Commanders in the divisional round of the NFL playoffs.

As such, head coach Dan Campbell seems to be taking extra steps to keep his guys healthy this season, including taking things more slowly to start the offseason when it comes to the physicality of practice. Campbell is taking things so seriously, in fact, that he kicked a player out of practice, according to one prominent insider.

“Physical practice today. Dan Campbell went out of his way on multiple occasions to tone down things down, warning the team to ease up. First time I’ve seen him kick a player out (DB Morice Norris) for being too physical. Lions are still in shorts. Pads go on this Friday,” reported Colton Pouncy.

Fans reacted to the news on social media.

“I get it, this is a dude trying to earn his keep trying to stand out,” one fan wrote on Twitter.

“They are pissed. I love it,” another fan added.

“Normally I’d think this is soft but we literally can’t stay healthy so,” someone else wrote.

It’ll be interesting to see if the Lions can figure out a way to stay healthier this season.
