After selecting the 2021 NFL Draft’s best offensive line prospect in Oregon left tackle Penei Sewell on Thursday night, the Detroit Lions addressed the other side of the line on Friday night. Detroit selected Washington defensive tackle Levi Onwuzurike in the second round with the 41st overall pick.

Later, the Detroit media asked Onwuzurike what he brings to the table as a player, and the presser featured some amazing quotes.

The 6’3″, 290-pounder said, “I like fucking people up. I like to get off the line and just put my helmet and hands on an offensive lineman and fuck up an offensive scheme, pretty much. I like pushing them back two, three yards, and just making ’em feel like shit.”

Hey, this is the kind of mindset you want from an NFL player in the trenches!

He also had this gem: “I think the Lions are trying to build some shit here and we got two good-ass parts right here.”

Onwuzurike is sure to be a very interesting interview for the Lions media going forward, but they may want to have the bleep button ready.
