Furry convention

Week 18 in the NFL is obviously the most important week of the season for all the teams still alive in the NFL playoff race, and naturally, teams will want to be locked in and focused on the task at hand. That might have been a little difficult for the Los Angeles Rams this week as they had to share their team hotel with some very unique guests.

As NFL reporter Peter Schrager of Fox Sports reports, the Rams had a furry convention taking place at their team hotel ahead of Sunday’s game against the Seattle Seahawks.

“Week 18… so many news and notes. One to pass along…. There is a furry convention going on in the Rams team hotel in Seattle this weekend,” Schrager pointed out in a Tweet on Sunday morning.

For those unaware of what exactly a furry is, furries are defined by the National Library of Medicine as “individuals who are especially interested in anthropomorphic or cartoon animals. They often strongly identify with anthropomorphic animals and create fursonas, identities of themselves as those anthropomorphic animals.”

It’s certainly an odd group to mix with NFL players and fans, and the NFL world had plenty to say about it on Twitter.

“Still better looking outfits than Titans Jags last night,” WGR 550 said on Twitter.

“This just about sums up the Rams 2022 season in a nutshell. Just incredible,” Rams writer Blaine Grisak of SB Nation said in a Tweet.

“Wish I was there,” sports betting writer Holden Kushner said in a Tweet.

“I took a double take reading this. I don’t know how many of us furrys are into sports but I hope folks will be behaved,” Cashuea, who is a furry, said on Twitter.

As for the game, the Rams fell to the Seahawks by a score of 19-16.
