Following the New York Jets 15-10 win over the New England Patriots, Jets star cornerback Sauce Gardner had a pretty concerning claim about Patriots quarterback Mac Jones, and it sounds like the NFL is now investigating.
Sauce Gardner claimed that during the game, Mac Jones hit him “in my private parts,” joking that the quarterback was “trying to prevent me from having kids in the future.”
“He reached out to me to get me to help him up,” Gardner said of Jones. “I just moved his hand out of the way. He got up and then came up to me like ‘Good job.’ While he was saying that, he hit me in my private parts. I didn’t react like I really wanted to. I definitely wasn’t expecting that. First time for everything I guess. . . . He’s trying to prevent me from having kids in the future.”
According to Mike Florio of Pro Football Talk, the NFL is investigating the incident.
“Per a source with knowledge of the situation, the league is looking into the claim by Gardner that Jones flicked him in the family jewels,” Florio wrote for Pro Football Talk.
It will certainly be interesting to see what the investigation turns up.
