EA Sports’ Madden NFL 20 is available now in the Superstar and Ultimate Superstar editions, and the standard edition will be released on Aug. 2 (Friday). Additionally, EA Access subscribers have been able to play the game for about a week.
Naturally, there are already some hilarious Madden NFL 20 glitches rolling in.
Like, a glitch where it’s seemingly impossible to sack the quarterback. The guys at Madden School showed this one off, and with their first part of the video, include a clip of Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson running circles around a helpless Houston Texans defense. Lamar Jackson doing that in a video game is one thing. But kicker Justin Tucker — subbed in at quarterback to show this glitch — also being able to do that is another.
Another gamer found out that Kansas City Chiefs kicker Harrison Butker can’t be tackled on fake field goals.

And veteran running back C.J. Anderson is also impossible to tackle, apparently.

Then there’s a glitch where passes stick to receivers’ helmets. The “catch” here from Minnesota Vikings tight end Irv Smith Jr. is particularly hilarious.

There’s this horrifying leg injury for Dallas Cowboys running back Tony Pollard (though he seems to be handling it stoically!).

And here’s Chicago Bears quarterback Mitch Trubisky throwing a pass about 45 yards backwards, intended for Allen Robinson.

So, there’s certainly some stuff for EA Sports to clean up in the upcoming updates. This is also what’s to be expected when a game is released so early (it’s the earliest Madden release since Madden NFL 11 was released on July 27, 2010).
