Marshawn Lynch initially retired in February 2016, but it feels like it was a lot longer ago than that. The former Seattle Seahawks’ bruising back is attempting to make a comeback with the Oakland Raiders for the upcoming 2017 season, and he looks ready for it.
That’s right, Beast Mode is back.
Here’s what Raiders head coach Jack Del Rio tweeted from practice Monday:

Such a simple and beautiful tweet. No words at all with the video and instead just a dominant Lynch highlight. Oh Marshawn, we missed you so much.
I will also admit I did the Chris Berman “WOOOOOP” while watching that video.
Of course, it’s not terribly surprising to see Marshawn Lynch run in a 30-yard touchdown during practice in early June. Oakland is going through basically pre-pre-pre season workouts on June 5th, months before the season kicks off on Sunday September 10th on the road in Tennessee.
People on Twitter of course pointed this out too, along with the fact that the defense surely wasn’t giving it their all:
So does that mean if we're on the 1 yard line at Super Bowl @MoneyLynch beast mode gets the 🏈coach🤔🥊😉 @derekcarrqb @RAIDERS

Is your point that we need a LB?

Mannnnnn we talking about practice! Not the game! Not the game! But practice!

Despite the fact that the Raiders’ defense might not have been trying its hardest to stop Lynch, it’s still nice to see Beast Mode back on the gridiron doing what he does best.
