Martellus Bennett is a lucky guy. Right after winning a Super Bowl with Tom Brady and the New England Patriots, Bennett will play with another all-time great in Aaron Rodgers next season.

And the tight end summed up the switch to the Green Bay Packers in his own unique way that NFL fans have come to love.

From the Houston Chronicle:

“That’s like leaving J. Lo and going to Halle Berry,” Bennett said via a Facetime interview from Hawaii following him donating copies of his children’s book to Alief School Libraries on Thursday. “We talk often. I’m excited about playing with him. We’ve known each other for a while. I’m excited about working with him and learning his quarterback language and showing him what type of player I am. I think I’m a lot better player than they think I am.”

How else would you expect a guy who said winning with the Patriots was like losing his virginity to make this comparison?

Unfortunately, it appears no one asked the crucial follow-up question. Why Jennifer Lopez for Tom Brady and Halle Berry for Aaron Rodgers? At least he kept Olivia Munn, Rodgers’ ex-girlfriend, out of the conversation.

Bennett is coming off a great season where he caught 55 passes for 701 yards and seven touchdowns. That performance helped him get a three-year, $21-million deal with the Packers. So we should keep getting ridiculous soundbites from the 30-year-old tight end through at least 2019.
